Frequently Asked Questions

Where do we practice?  It is up to the Coach to find a practice field for the Team. We will try to match up players with coaches that register in the same area. Typically a coach will get with the parents and discuss what day, time and location works best for the team.

Can I request my friend or coach during registration?  Yes, you will see the section to add a coach or friend/family member to play with, however, this does not guarantee you will be on the same team.

How many players per team? Minimum of 5 players. It is recommended that you do not exceed 10 players per team so every player can receive a fair amount of playing time.

What are the age divisions?  6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U and 16U

How long is the season? The season is 8 weeks long. 7 weeks of regular season games and 1 end of season tournament.

What is included in the registration? Each player will get a jersey jersey and flag. Each season we schedule 7 regular season games and an end of season tourney.  Regular season and tournament champs will receive trophy’s.

What does my player need for game days? Jersey, mouth guard and flags. Shorts should have no pockets or they will need to be taped. Cleats are recommended but not required. We do sell mouth guards at the main tent for $3.

What is your refund Policy? Gridiron East Valley will refund you in full (less a $15 processing fee) if requested 3 weeks prior to the start of the season. If you registered within 3 weeks of the season you would need to cancel within 48 hours after registration for a full refund. 50% will be refunded after 48 hours up to the first game of the season. Please understand that rosters are built, uniforms ordered, fields rented and other expenses incurred at minimum 3 weeks before the season begins.
